A Place To Heal

Farmhouse Rescue is a non-profit community that has created a sanctuary for both animals and humans alike. Together we are rescuing animals from abuse and inhumane living conditions to provide them with a safe, secure, and loving forever home.

Our animals are valued as individuals with unique personalities, wants, and needs.

All of our farm animals engage in Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) to heal humans in need. Our Guest of the Farm program invites individuals suffering from terminal illness, loss, depression, addiction and more to spend time loving and interacting with our farm animals, making memories and friendships. The animals inspire our volunteers and guests to grow, develop, and give back to the community.

Meet Our Friends

Treasure

Was found scared, cold, and discarded like trash in a dumpster.  A kind-hearted passerby heard what sounded like a baby crying and discovered this sweet female pig in the dumpster. We named her Treasure because one person’s trash is another person’s treasure.  She is the first to greet new guests at the farm :)

Patrick

This beautiful peacock was rescued from the snow.  He was hungry and scared, and had angered local residents by pecking at their cars.  He now flashes his colorful feathers for our volunteers and inspires our guests of the farm with a sense of hope.

Madame & Fifi

Were part of a local 4-H program to be raised for feed.  Instead of taking these girls to market to be auctioned and slaughtered, their kind owner brought them to us to bless the community with their playful and comical personalities.
